Uncommon chips/modules used: version 80.1 uses CEM3340 vco, IR3R05 VCF. 80.2 uses IR3R03 VCO and IR3109 VCF and both use BA662 and CEM3360 vca's and some others more obscure;

Circuit Overview:
     The MKS-80 is often confused as a 'rack version of the JUPITER 8'. Rather the 80.1 version uses JP-6 chips and also Software generated EG's but apparently more rigorous ones since everyone raves about how much faster they respond than the JX series. They have a more 'natural' character I'd say.


Service Tips:
      I've only done board damage repair on these. Not aware of particular reliability issues.
