Six-Trak Reinitialzation Procedure Six-Trak Reinitialzation Procedure This page details the reinitialzation procedure for the Six-Trak. Warning: Do not attempt any of these procedures if you don't understand what is being discussed. Proceed at your own risk. If your Six-Trak is counting 1 to 6 when you first turn it on or it is is locked-up, you might want to try this before thinking about replacing the battery or having the synth serviced. Reinitialzation 1. Center the PITCH wheel. Hold CONTROL RECORD and press PROGRAM SELECT #3. 2. Hold TRACK RECORD then CONTROL RECORD, and press SELECT #0. The CONTROL RECORD LED will go off. Turn off the TRACK RECORD LED by pressing TRACK RECORD. 3. Press ARP UP/DOWN twice. 4. Press ARP ASSIGN twice. 5. Press STACK A twice. 6. Press STACK B twice. 7. Press TRACK RECORD then press SEQ A, then press TRACK RECORD. 8. Press TRACK RECORD then press SEQ B, then press TRACK RECORD. 9. Hold CONTROL RECORD, then press SELECT 8. This will load the Basic Patch into the Six-Trak's RAM. 10. Hold CONTROL RECORD, then press 00. This will save the Basic Patch into voice number 00. 11. Turn off the Six-Trak, then turn it on. If you lucky the Six-Trak will start correctly. If the synth is still counting from 1 to 6 or still "jammed" either proceed with the follow steps, or have the unit serviced. Steps #12 through #15 will erase all voices and sequences. Back-up your voices and sequences!!! 12. Expose the circuit board and locate the battery. 13. Lift one end of the diode (IN4002/ D108) coming from the positive side of the battery. 14. Touch pin 24 of one of the 6116s (U112, 117 and 119) to ground. 15. Reconnect the diode (see step #13). 16.
