Circuit Overview:
VAST (variable architecture synthesis technology) pioneer synth. Digital all the way of course. Two versions of the motherboard exist, "Calvin" and "Janis". Janis boots up with a "J" after the version number in the display. The most recent engine is version 3.87 and setup V5.something I believe.

Service Tips:
I've heard of a variety of problems, mostly with interfacing drives and so on but also some that sounded like bad substrate in VLSI chips causing intermittent problems or sockets. I've only worked on one or two myself and I think that one was a socket problem. We just got one in though that has only 'Hard Reset' 'cancel' or some other option on boot. I'm troubleshooting now.

Parts:
Not a lot of discrete stuff but if there's something specific you need that can't be gotten through a Kurzweil Service center let me know.
