Circuit Overview:
A digital synthesizer which utilizes special processing chips designed to support Yamaha's FM synthesis architecture. It also adds a sampled workstation environment. The FM is 6 operator very similar to DX7II. It was released during a power curve era in DSP development. Hence when the Wavestation broke within a year, it suddenly didn't sound quite as good. But Yamaha improved the engine in the SY-99 which is quite impressive still I hear. A sonic plateau had been achieved we could say.

While Yamaha normally does not keep parts around more than 5 years or so, but I stock what I can.
